What is it?
How does it work?
Telehealth is therapy using a secure, HIPPA compliant, online video platform. I currently use SimplePractice for this service.
You’ll be sent a link for the video appointment. Click on it when our appointment is scheduled to start or open it through the Telehealth by SimplePractice app (download free in the app store). You can use the camera and audio on your computer or mobile device.
What is the Cost?
The cost for 30+ minutes of telehealth is $120. Sessions are typically between 30-55 minutes. Some insurances will cover the cost of telehalth. If your insurance does not cover this service the fee would be the responsibility of the client. Please check with your insurance company if you wish to use insurance for this service.
Increased Access: Many individuals live in areas that make it difficult to get to therapy appointments. With Telehealth you can receive therapy services from anywhere. Since I am licensed in the state of WI, I can see clients from anywhere in the state!
Reduced Cost: Telehealth is typically a lower fee than traditional therapy. Not to mention saved money from travel expenses and missed time from work or school.
Less time: Since you can receive therapy services from anywhere when using telehealth, there is no travel time or time spent in a waiting room.
